Anya was born in the middle of autumn. She is the daughter Tristan Alexander Dubois, who is the world's most renowned environmentalist lawyer who spent all of his young days traveling around the world. He then met Anya’s mother, Jennifer Zhang, a corporate lawyer when they were working together on a case about one of the most famous mining company in Sweden. In 1993, right after they got married, as proof of their unyielding love towards each other, both of her parents then set up a new law firm and named the firm, “Dubois & Zhang Law firm”. They had a beautiful daughter 2 years after they got married, and she was born with so many privileges under her belts. Things were going perfectly; a successful father, a really cool mother, a loving family living on the easy street, unmistakably a bright future for her. What could go wrong?
Unfortunately, her family.
After 10 years of marriage, her parents got divorced. That was totally uncalled for, but the truth hurts: her father cheated with the much more younger girl when Anya was still 8 years old. It's funny when things were going perfectly okay but went wrong in just a flip of a hand. But neither of her nor her mother laughed. Anya and her mother took the hard blow and ever since they never saw her father again.
Generally speaking, Anya is depicted as the most fragile and suffering from several mental disorders — most notably, anorexia nervosa — and multiple issues, including low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, and drug addiction, courtesy to the pressure and the toxic environment from her family and her job as a model. She is usually can be found sitting silently in the background of the scenes in which she appears, usually with a cold stare or a wry smile
She is ruled by her insecurities, despite a confident exterior. As a result of this insecurity, Anya does not trust easily; but when she does, she will be tremendously hurt when she feels betrayed. This trait is accompanied by her skill of being manipulative, sometimes what comes off as ruthless behavior of hers.
Anya is a mystery even to herself. She has these moments where she has a tendency to say things that are profound in a random fashion. There is something about her that feels broken yet she can see people clearly. She can see people’s weaknesses, strengths, and also can get into people’s head better than most. Her detachment seems party due to an extreme fear of intimacy. Showing her real cards scares her to death
Anya is a thrill seeker. She loves the chase, she loves games, she loves talking in riddles and loves to party. This is the only way she can successfully relate to people in the world.
